Pitch to Us
Where thoughtful storytelling meets aesthetic intelligence
At Curation Edit, we do not chase stories. We curate them.
We are always open to voices that understand that beauty is not surface-level, that design carries memory, and that culture is something to be interpreted, not simply reported.
What We Commission
We currently accept pitches across three editorial formats

Feature Stories (Website)
Slow, immersive, narrative-led
These are our signature pieces.
We are looking for stories that start with an aesthetic but go deeper into meaning.
Your piece should explore:
-
What is driving this shift or visual language
-
What it reveals about identity, aspiration, or culture
-
Why it matters now
We are less interested in what is trending, and more in what it signifies.
Your writing should feel considered, atmospheric, and clear in its point of view. By the end, the reader should not just see something differently, but understand it.
Trend Reportage (Digital & Social)
Sharp, timely, insight-led
This is our fast-format take on what is happening now.
We are looking for culturally relevant ideas with a clear angle.
Your pitch should:
-
Identify a current shift, moment, or behaviour
-
Explain why it is gaining attention
-
Offer a strong point of view
We are not looking for summaries. We are looking for interpretation.
Keep it concise, but make it meaningful.
Films & Short-Form Video (Instagram & Website)
Visual, intentional, narrative-driven
We commission short films and video content that feel considered, not reactive.
This can include:
-
Short aesthetic films
-
Visual essays
-
Concept-led reels
Your idea should:
-
Have a clear concept or mood
-
Show a distinct visual sensibility
-
Carry an emotional or narrative thread
We are not looking for trend-led content. We are looking for visual storytelling with intention.
Our Language & Sensibility
Curation Edit is defined by how it speaks.
We favour work that is:
-
Descriptive and immersive
-
Insightful and thought-provoking
-
Sophisticated but approachable
-
Intentional and curated
We gravitate towards words like palette, texture, silhouette, narrative, craftsmanship, sensibility.
We avoid generic, overused language.

What to Include in Your Pitch
Clarity matters. Keep your pitch focused and intentional.
For Writing (Feature or Trend):
-
A clear idea or angle
-
Why it matters now
-
Your point of view or approach
-
Links to relevant work
For Film / Video:
-
A short concept or treatment
-
The intended format (Reel, short film, visual essay)
-
Visual references or mood direction (if available)
-
Links to previous work
We are not looking for fully written pieces. A strong idea is enough

Editorial Guidelines
-
We prioritise original thinking over repetition
-
Every piece must have a clear point of view
-
Writing should feel like a narrative, not a report
-
Visual work should be considered, not reactive
-
All submissions must reflect cultural depth and aesthetic clarity
What We Don’t Publish
-
Surface-level trend summaries
-
PR-led or promotional content
-
Generic lifestyle pieces
-
Work that lacks a clear perspective
If the idea does not offer depth, intention, or insight, it is not right for Curation Edit.

Payment
All accepted pitches are paid.
We believe thoughtful work deserves fair compensation and aim to build long-term relationships with our contributors.
